Semi-Rigid Cable End Preparation
The machines are ruggedly constructed for long life and anodized for appearance and protection. Double-shielded ball bearings are used throughout, and spindles are driven by timing belts to insure smooth and accurate operation. All Accustrip machines are portable and easily set up on a table or bench for prototype work. Production operation requires a compressed air supply of 40-90 P.S.I. for proper evacuation of cable cuttings.
Operation is straightforward and easily mastered in a matter of minutes. The machines will prepare cables ranging in size from .047" O. D. to .325" O. D. formed lengths of cable, as well as partially mounted connectors, are easily accommodated.
The use of Accustrip will insure reliable cable-to-connector interface preparation, resulting in superior and repeatable electrical performance throughout the usable cable spectrum.

Accustrip
Accustrip is the name for two models of production machines manufactured and marketed by Boyd Machine Co. Inc. for the easy, fast and accurate preparation of semi-rigid coaxial cable ends for a variety of connector types. Accustrip eliminates tedious hand operations, yet increases average production, providing up to 200 burr-free-cable-to-connector interfaces per hour. The cutting operation using carbide cutters, on our manual feed model #550, and our automatic feed model #199, is clean and precise, with no copper smear on the dielectric and no scoring or damage to the center conductor.
